Part 1: Proposed Population
In Unit 2 you will submit a proposal to your instructor identifying the population that will be the focus of your Community Health Needs Assessment. (Populations can be adolescents, elderly, HIV infected, infants and children, teens, those with chronic illness, disabled vets, active military – there are endless options.)
Your instructor must approve your population prior to continuing on to part 2. If you proceed with your research without receiving prior approval, your paper may be rejected. Remember approval of your topic does NOT indicate there is an abundance of research on your population. It only means that your population is a valid population.
Important Note: Prior to submitting your population be sure to research the population and make sure you can find out enough data on the population, to prepare a 4 to 6 page paper.
Approval of your population from your instructor does not indicate there is an abundance of research, only that the population is an acceptable population.
