A company’s organizational structure

Out of Class Assignment: The student shall choose a publicly or privately held company as the subject of a paper (three pages, typed double spaced). The student shall write how the company is organized and critically analyze the pros and the cons of the organizational structure, and creatively propose a different organizational structure for the existing firm. For example, does YUM brands (KFC, Taco Bell, Long John Silvers, Pizza Hut) organize by strategic Business Unit, or is there the same VP of marketing and VP of Finance over all four SBU’s ?Could they organize a different way?What would be the advantages and disadvantages of a different organizational structure/chart? You may also use a hypothetical business. For example, a holding company that owns four different car dealerships could organize a variety of different ways, which you could analyze.
