Article Review:Students will identify a scholarly article about a nonprofit agency that are related to atopic from your readings and class discussion. By “article,” I mean an article published in arefereed journal (for example, you can find many of them on JSTOR, Evaluation Review, etc. onthe Barry Online Library) I also used eric.ed.gov and found peer reviewed articles.Each review will be a minimum of 5 pages, in ESSAY FORMAT. Providefull citation using APA. Summarize its content, discuss the relevance/impact of the article tononprofit administration, identify and explain concepts from the readings that APPLY to thesituation described in the article. You must cite appropriately using APA. Cover page andappendices do not count toward the 5 pages.Use the following format as a guide in writing your article reviews. Figure out themost important ideas that you would have to understand in order to understand theauthor’s line of reasoning.The main assumptions underlying the author’s thinking is/are _______________. Figureout what the author may take for granted that may be questioned.If we take this line of thinking seriously the implications are ________________. Whatconsequences are likely to follow if people take the author’s line of reasoning seriously? If we fail to take the author’s line of reasoning the implications are ___________. Whatconsequences are likely to follow if people ignore the author’s reasoning?The main points of view of the author are ______________________. What is the authorlooking at and how is s/he seeing it?Note: This template is not designed so you answer the questions one by one. Once you answer thequestions, you are in an excellent position to summarize and then analyze the article. Many of the articlesare complicated and this kind of template helps to learn from studies found in peer review journals. Youwill be graded on whether or not you use these points.
