Reflect on the learning organization you are creating. What are some key policies that need to be developed and implemented for total success of the organization?
Using the template provided, outline your ideas according to the prompts. Be sure to include the following:

  1. Identify five to seven policies that you feel are needed for your school to function effectively. Feel free to research how other districts develop policies and how the leadership determines the best or most important policies to develop, be sure to create your own unique learning organization.

Mission Statement

Our community school recognizes each child as an individual; that all children are creative and need to succeed.  We respect the individualized needs of each child, where fostering a caring and creative environment will emphasize their social, emotional, physical, intellectual and development of each child’s learning style.

To provide empowerment to all students for their futures.

Goals (3-5 goals for your school)

We will: 

1.   Provide a school and family partnership where each party has a role in the learning environment through attitude, education, learning, support, and procedure.

2.  Provide an academic structure of excellence in order to ensure preparation for college by challenging students in a global inspired curriculum which provides a broad knowledge base.

3.  Provide a positive learning environment adapted to each child’s ability to learn through Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences.  In doing this the children will know their strengths and weaknesses which will provide areas to improve and be aware of what works best for them to study. 

4.  Provide individualized academic programs to coordinate with each child’s skills, and use guided instruction on a personal approach of excellence for the students.

5.  Use a range of learning techniques to embody each child’s learning, activities, and improve their critical thinking skills. 

6.  Utilize technology as a collaborative tool for kids to learn in their instructional program , and to work with other peers on engaging methods.

School Population and Demographics

The school population would be those that lived within the district of this given school.  The school would enroll five hundred or less high school students.  This would provide smaller classrooms for student/teacher ratios.

Demographics for this school would be welcoming to any Race/Ethnicity, and put student in the surround ding boundaries in this school.  There would be students who were Non-economically advantaged along with those who are advantaged.
