NO COPIED CONTENT DISCUSSION 1: Continuous training and education for criminal justice professionals is essential. Educating and engaging the publics opinion is crucial as well, especially at the law enforcement level. The more collaboration between police officers and the community will help to ensure safety. Police officer’s should have training programs that help to defuse conflict situations to where they do not have to use any force at all, not even a taser. I feel if the public feels respected and heard by the criminal justice system, that they will in turn respect and cooperate with criminal justice professionals like police officers.
