PROJECT:

Goal:

Your task is to educate your managers on laws associated with employment law.

Role:

You are the CEO of the company and you want to avoid fines and lawsuits because your managers do not follow employment laws.

Audience:

The managers that work closely with employees by hiring and scheduling employees.

Situations:

As the CEO you want to make sure you do not incur fines or have a lawsuit brought against you due to violation of employment law. Your store employees are mostly teen age kids. So you have decided to hold a meeting with the managers and go over important employments laws.

Product or Performance:

Create a slideshow that identifies and explains the various employment laws of which managers need to be aware. Focus: State Child Labor Laws, Industry-Education Cooperation, Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Pay Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and Drug-Free Workplace Act.
