How to Gain Respect as a Leader

There can be the good and bad influences on employees throughout the agency. Leaders throughout an agency must be positive as well as appropriate on and disciplinary actions in the daily routines. Leading by example can go pretty far in creating a positive work force around you. Employees will look to leaders for positive reinforcement as well as making the correct decisions in situations. It is important for employees to think about the right decision especially when working in criminal justice. An employee only becomes better through influence of their leaders. If a leader is not able to influence his/her employee, then there is no way that they will be able to gain respect with their employees because of the lack of leadership and decision making skills. How do you gain the respect of those that you lead?
