You are a Human Resource Director or Manager for an organization or company. It is preferred you utilize a real company that you currently work for, worked for in the past, or with which you are familiar as a general model, but the company should not identified as the subject for this paper. You may create a fictional company with the approval of your instructor. You oversee the well being of 150-175 personnel. You have an HR staff of one part-time employee in addition to yourself.
You have been given the task of researching, purchasing, & implementing a new HR Technology that will supply your organization with the needed tools for now and into the foreseeable future. You have been given a preliminary budget of $25,000 for the total project. Your proposal will need to justify the expense of its acquisition, configuration, implementation, and maintenance. It may be allowable for expenditure over $25,000 with a clear case for increasing the budget. Utilizing your product reviews, further research of HRIS systems, human resources journals, and, potentially, personal interviews, you will prepare a proposal that evaluates five or more HRIS systems, addressing the following for each system:
an identification and a brief overview of the HRIS
system features,
major human resource management and operational benefits,
potential add-on components,
a summary of the pros and cons or strengths and weaknesses to the HRIS based on the analysis and represented by the system reviews, and
projected
costs for acquisition, configuration, implementation, and maintenance.
You will close with recommendation to the president or CEO of the organization and the Board of Directors. The recommendation should include projected costs for acquisition, configuration, implementation, and maintenance, and a time-line for implementation and training.
Format the proposal using APA. It should be a minimum of 1250 words, excluding the title page and references. Abstracts are not required and, if provided, do not count toward the word count. The proposal must demonstrate mastery of the content covered in Units 1 – 5 and must interpret and synthesize the results of your research. The findings from the two previous product reviews may be included in this paper, but should be significantly revised and improved based on feedback from the instructor and peers. The other three HRIS findings must be based on new research.
