Integrating marketing concepts, discussion help

Everyone should have a basic understanding of marketing. It can be used to market products, services, people, companies, charities, and ideas. Discuss how you will use the information you have learned in this course and apply it to your life and your work. Be sure to practice using terms from the textbook in your discussion postings, as practicing this will serve you well for the portfolio paper in defining terms.

I plan to use what I learned in this marketing class to find my target market and develop customer service excellence and operational excellence and analyze the feedback I am getting from my customers. From this information I will adapt my product, price, promotion, and place. This approach will drive sales, which is the overall goal. Over time I will build a brand known for quality that will keep customers loyal while growing my market share of the industry. I will build my business on customer experience management and develop new products and services which will keep them coming back for more. According to Daniel Newman of Forbes magazine, customer experience management model is a top priority for any business, “Even though we may concentrate on big data, mobile, social, or content being the future of marketing, if you really think about it, all of these elements are only important in how they help us to enhance customers’ experiences with our brands.”(Newman, Para. 2) This is the process in which marketers can locate customers, generate sales, evaluate, and adapt to changing environments. This type of model are used in what is known as a learning organization in which we “increase our ability to manage change”. (Mason, 2016)

The most important part of class that can help to advance a career in management is SWOT analysis. Using this analysis has shown to break down thought methods and show what parts of a company are a strength and weaknesses. Using this analysis a person can not only strengthen their marketing plan, but improve the thought process in decision making as well. A SWOT analysis shows the internal and external factors that effect a business (Tanner & Raymond, 2014). Using this method someone can come up with the best solution to a problem or deciding the best course of action based on what all factors the SWOT analysis shows.
