Resources: Ch. 2 of Management: A Practical Introduction, Sections 2.2,2.3,2.4,2.5,2.6,2.7; and sample leadership theory table.
Select three theories from Chapter 2.
Summarize the theory and viewpoint(s) in a table. Please use the sample leadership theory table provided.
Develop a three to four page paper including the following:
- Briefly discuss an overview of management.
- Include the roles managers play.
- Examine the development of management theories, including how these theories reflected the changing business environment.
- Compare and contrast the three management theories you included in your leadership theory table (append the leadership theory table to the end of the document).
- Evaluate which of the three management theories works best for your work environment or an organization with which you are familiar.
- Minimum two references (retrieve one reference from University Library and other source(s) – not Google. Be sure to include Chapter 2 as a reference and include in-text citations.
Format your assignment consistent with APA guidelines.
