peer review

ObjectiveOne of the duties of a leader-manager is to critically review work products from one’s colleagues. To hone your critical reviewing skills and assist you in the practice of thinking and writing as though you are a reviewer of your own work, you are asked to serve as an anonymous reviewer for one of your classmates. Support your work with APA style references.CriteriaAssume that you are the lead chairperson of a committee designed by the CEO to review talent and performance of organizational managers. Your job is to read the final project (training module or theoretical essay) of another student and provide a constructive critical review of it, including specific suggestions for improvement and acknowledgement of excellence and exceptional performance.Address the quality of conceptualization, research design (if appropriate), integration of appropriate literature, clarity of writing, completeness of training or theory generation, pragmatism of implementation, quality of assessment and PowerPoint presentations or the quality of research, and usefulness of feedback forms or recommendations and conclusions of the theoretical essay. Each review should make constructive suggestions to improve the work product and should support those observations with APA cited reference material. Your critical comments are based on course concepts learned throughout the quarter. If the peer-reviewed work is excellent and requires few critical comments for improvement, then make comments that support your perspective asserting the observation that the student’s work is excellent.Peer-ReviewPoints Possible  100CriteriaAchievement LevelPoorBelow AverageAverageGoodExcellenceThesis Statement and Introduction Section0 pointsNo academically oriented research13 pointsNo thesis statement and/or a disjointed introduction15 pointsNo clear thesis statement and/or no organized introduction citing the concept17 pointsPartially clear, concise, and focused thesis statement and introduction20 pointsClear, concise, and focused thesis statement with supporting introductionConflict Coaching Model0 pointsFails to address the topic or any aspects of the assignment26 pointsDemonstrates virtually no knowledge of the Conflict Coaching Model30 pointsFails to recognize key concepts, principles and theories of the Conflict Coaching Model34 pointsDemonstrates partial recognition of concepts, principles and theories of the Conflict Coaching Model40 pointsDemonstrates full recognition of all concepts, principles and theories of the Conflict Coaching ModelMastery of Material and Academic Research0 pointsUnderdeveloped; provides no or little scholarly value; fails to answer the thesis statement; mostly personal opinion13 pointsFlawed mastery of the material and does not logically address the thesis statement; weak to no scholarly research material15 pointsPartially demonstrates mastery of the material and uses some scholarly research17 pointsPartially demonstrates mastery of the material and answers the thesis statement using scholarly research20 pointsDemonstrates full mastery of the material and answers the thesis statement using scholarly researchWriting Mechanics0 pointsFails to demonstrate basic knowledge and use of writing mechanics, word usage, and sentence structure13 pointsTotal lack of attention to grammar and /or spelling; many APA mistakes; not written at the college level15 pointsSeveral grammar, spelling and APA mistakes; not written at the masters level17 pointsUses simple but understandable sentence structure; few APA style, grammar, or spelling errors20 pointsGrammatically well-constructed;No APA style, grammar or spelling errors
