This week, imagine you are at the interview. During the interview, you are asked several questions. At the end of the interview, you are asked two specific questions related to how you would function in the work environment: 1) How do you handle conflict co-workers; and 2) explain your understanding of leadership and followership, and how would you apply them in this position?

PLEASE RESPOND YO THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT:

Being in the military for over 17 years, I have been subjected to plenty of conflicts.

1. How I handle now is way different than how I handled them when I first came in-it’s gotten better. So how do I handle conflict with co-workers is easy… I do not take anything personal. All my conflicts is about business. I will always talk if something is immoral, unethically or unsafe. If not, then I will not press the issue. Sometimes it is not worth who used my creamer or took my apple juice from the fridge.

2. Leadership to me is making your followers reach a certain goal. You don’t have to be the boss to be the leader, nor do you have to have the highest rank. Leaders are someone who gets people to get the job done and have fun doing it. A follower is something within a leader…you really have to be a follower first and continue to follow as a leader. That is the only way you grow.

2b. In my position sometimes, I will have to be a chameleon and know when to be a follower and be a leadership. You cannot follow all the time nor can you lead all the time too. It is situational.
