telehealth technology

Interoperability between telehealth technology, mobile health devices, and the patient’s electronic health record is needed to enhance communication, workflows, and efficiency. Healthcare providers who use telehealth should be able to link to clinical information systems (Nelson & Staggers, 2018). As a result, new telehealth competencies are required and the national consortium of telehealth resource centers are filling that gap. In addition, frameworks and guidelines for telehealth competencies have been outlined by the American Nurses Association and other organizations.Review the telehealth fact sheets available here:https://www.telehealthresourcecenter.org/fact-sheets/ (Links to an external site.)What should be a practitioner’s level of expertise and competency in the field of telehealth and telemonitoring? With telehealth licensure, credentialing, reimbursement, liability, and malpractice considerations.
