A change agent is anything that causes a change in our lives or a way of doing things for the greater good or bad. For example, people constantly have to adapt to family changes, job changes, and health changes (Manning, Curtis, McMilillan, & Attenweiler, 2011). Society continues to change as a whole through government, education, religion and technological advancements. Change within an organization usually is the cause of customer demands and market competition. Also for organizations to remain empowered and profitable, change must take place for survival. Leaders and management are put in charge to help plan and coordinate change efforts (Manning, Curtis, McMilillan, & Attenweiler, 2011).

I promote change as long as it is a benefit for the greater good and does not violate humanity. Change is unavoidable, but all change is not good when it is only setup to promote one’s own selfish gain. Change must happen to stay current with modern technology as well. I tend to adapt well with change or go with the flow of things and offer suggestions to benefit all involved.

A change agent is anyone who helps an organization transform by improving business processes and interpersonal interactions. Leaders focused on change management or change control are often labeled change agents. There are two types of change agents: internal and external. Also a change agent is a person who has complied a list of procedures that must change in order for a company to achieve business goals.

I am extremely motivated by change. Mainly on jobs, there are a hand full of people who do not like change, and are set in their ways of how things have always been done. On the other hand, most companies or business are subject to change to new things everyday, regardless if people do not want to see change. I am motivated by change, because I am always looking forward to learning new things, or opening up for new ideas. On the job I am currently employed at, change is a common thing. There may be changes in multiple things to reach the company goals, such as work procedures, work hours, employee hand book rules, cross training, and etc. I never find myself blown out about changes, because I have always told myself never settle for the usual, things change everyday.
