my classmate’s response

This has totally changed my initial perception of “King Tut.” For as long as I can remember Tutankhamen has been the only pharaoh I have been able to name, and so I was always of the belief that most of Egypt’s structures were constructed under his rule. Now that I know his fame is largely attributed to the discovery of his pristine tomb, it makes me realize that the artistic style and nature of his death made him more famous than for his actual achievements. This application of art clearly left a profound impression of his significance and truly immortalized him in our current society.
