For DT3, let’s take an inward look at business ethics. Our textbook contains fascinating cases illustrating successful and unsuccessful examples of corporate management of crises and public relations issues. A common, but possibly simplistic, theme is that corporate and political ethics do not exist in isolation (as is well documented in Alabama); such systems reflect the values of the leadership—good or bad. Chapter 3 (Weiss textbook) provides a nutshell of several ethical principles or philosophical approaches to ethics. Without digging too far into your own value system, which, if any, of these approaches do you disagree with as being applicable to today’s business (private, public, governmental) environment? That is, which one is least applicable to today’s business world? Why?
