Write a 700- to 1,050-word paper in which you explicate the poem and interpret its theme.
- Create a thesis statement that makes a claim about the meaning of the poem.
- Support your thesis with at least two academic sources from the University Library. These are in addition to citing the textbooks as sources.
- Identify and explain the use of significant poetic devices and elements and how they contribute to the overall theme.
Format your paper consistent with MLA guidelines. (Note. Students who are not enrolled in the BA in English program may use APA formatting without penalty.)
