Social Change Movements

Think about the causes of success and failure for social change movements (e.g., PETA, anti-smoking, anti-obesity.) In a three- to five-page paper (excluding the title and reference pages):

  • Explain what causes some movements to become widely appealing and have major impacts on change.
  • Explain what causes other movements (regardless of the validity of their concerns) to fail.
  • Discuss the role leadership plays in the success or failure of a movement.
